You got the oldest eyes
Older than the skies
I don't know your name boy
But your words haunt my dreams at night
(You say) There's always intention
That's memories reflection
A wall of mirrors the future will hold
What you do forget is...
You told yourself a riddle you can't solve
Stop. Let go. You don't know I know.
You're so sweetly & completely lost. I know.
There goes your handwritten novel
Pages scattered in the sea
Well, I know you know those words you say
Will find their way back to me
There's no sadder sight
Than a boy who gives up the fight
As long as you can stand up
Take the punches & wait for your shot
There goes your handwritten novel
Pages scattered in the sea
Your eyes are like shells
That shatter 'neath bare feet
I don't know what becomes of those words you'll never speak
