The Chicago duo All The Creatures Of The Sea approach music from the realm of sonic exploration.
Todd Leibov and George Monteleone use an array of electronic and acoustic instruments to generate and recombine sprawling improvisations into multi-layered, sometimes throbbing, sometimes tranquil pop structures. Working together for more than 4 years, the two have learned to play off each other's strengths, with Monteleone oftencovering vocals and drums, and Leibov using keyboards, guitar and pedal steel.
They build experimental swirling pools of sound and then let patterns and rhythms leak out. On stage, this duo is firmly planted in the field of improvised sound, but this is what makes the outcome so exciting. Just as when floating in the sea, the adventure and pleasure is in the unknown.
Moody and moving, Good Good Blood’s “Son of a Gun” has a richness and breadth that belies its home-recording roots. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 30, 2017
